Leadership roles and positions can be very cumbersome and multi tasking, especially combining the celebrity lifestyle requirements of a musician, and the busy schedule of a politician.

For a politician, it is meetings all through the day, addressing issues that have to do with the well being of the people whose interest the politician represents. On the other hand, a musician’s life is centered on music composition, studio recordings, video shoots, stage performances and interviews.

Hon. Eno Williams:  Managing Politics & Music in style

Gospel artiste cum politician-Eno Williams has been able to combine both lifestyles effectively and she is working real hard to empower the women of her immediate constituency, not just with her music, but with her celebrated position as the Vice Chairman of Mkpatt Enin Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom state.

Eno William William, a graduate of Business Administration with years of experience and practice, but her love for music, and singing of praise to the creator drew her back to the ministry, hence the launch of her OMINI SABI GOD album in November 2011 at a star studded event held at the prestigious Amazing Grace Center, Uyo. The frontline gospel singer and now granted an interview where she spoke extensively on her musical career after the launch of the album, and her sojourn into politics.

Eno is a gospel artiste par excellence; she is the crooner of Ibam Eyom Akpabio, a song with which women in Akwa Ibom state, under the auspices of UYAI IBAN AKWA IBOM, accorded their solidarity to their son Godswill Akpabio, whom they anointed to serve.   Eno Williams is now Mkpat Enin Local Government Area Vice Chairman elect, next to revered journalist and newspaper publisher-Ephraim Akpan. She dedicated her emergence as Vice Chairman to God and service to women; she described it as divine, adding that from nomination to campaign and election, it was a smooth sail to victory.

Speaking about her journalist boss, with whom she has been working under, Eno Williams stated that so far, it has been interesting and challenging, but it is sure that she has a lot to learn from him through their days in office.  Interestingly, Eno Williams still spoke passionately about music, she had two new singles & a video released during the 25^th anniversary celebrations, titled ‘SE OWO YO YOM’, the song goes the extra mile to emphasize the potentials of the state in human, natural and mineral resources, and she confirmed that her new work “Akpabio aben Iban asen ke out” is set for release.

In her words, ‘I can’t stop doing music, in case you forgot, it is my music that has brought me this far and made me admired by Her Excellency Unoma Akpabio’, with my position as Vice Chairman, I now use music to celebrate our people, the projects of the present government and to promote the state’.

For CYX, it’s Aluta Continua, from playing students politics to its apex, and delving into community politics at his place of origin, Mpatt Enin Local Government Area where he currently serves as a Supervisor. Of course, victory was sure, as CYX has successfully managed the affairs of National Association of Akwa Ibom Students over the years before handing over.

These had given him the required experience needed to serve his people and grant attention for his hobby-MUSIC, and just like he did in politics, he is eyeing a musical throne.

But before then, I guess he is back to work at Mpatt Enin Local Government Area, to contribute his quota to the development process.  The last that was heard of him was when he hosted friends and colleagues at M-Lounge Uyo, for a Listening Party and also a special edition of Industry Nite in November 2012.

CYX plays Afro Hip Hop, and does himself a whole lot of good to move to the beats despite his healthy living. He is the crooner of the hit track Akwa Ibom girl, and did justice to the song with a remix featuring Don Tom putu putu 1. CYX is among the few who took to the studio to wax a hit single to CELEBRATE with the people of Akwa Ibom on the occasion of their 25^th anniversary celebration, although he has other banging tracks, his most popular hit is “Akwa Ibom Girl”, sequel to the success of the song; critics have been wondering why CYX is yet to drop an album for the listening pleasure of his growing number of fans all over Nigeria.
