UNIUYO ( UNIVERSITY OF UYO) students are planning to march to Governor Godswills Akpabio's office tomorrow Wednesday, to plead for the release of their colleagues who were arrested doing the protest. More than 50 people were arrested that day.

Today, as Akwa Ibom plays host to Dame Patience Jonathan, wife of the President of Nigeria to flag off the African Women Leaders Conference, between three to six students of the University of Uyo have died as a result of spray bullets by officers of the Nigerian Police while trying to calm a protest by the students earlier today.
