CYX does not deserve any leadership position in Nigeria

When will the Nigerian Press be free indeed? With people like CYX holding political offices, Nigeria seems to be in military regime to some extent.

I cannot belong to any forum CYX belongs to says Nelson ‘Sombodi’NseAbasi while presenting reports rising from a meeting of entertainment stakeholders in Akwa Ibom, which have it that a fracas ensued between himself, and Cyril Umoren, alias CYX, student activist, Mkpat Enin born politician and musician ventured into music at the peak of his student activism career and he is now a lifetime self acclaimed President of the embattled National Association of Akwa Ibom students (NAAKISS).

CYX slapped a journalist after a meeting which had in attendance The Chairman of Actors Guild of Nigeria (Akwa Ibom chapter), Mr. Ebong, The International President of Ibom Actors Forum, Moses Armstrong, The Chairman of PMAN in Akwa Ibom state, Pastor Jeremy Ekong, The Chairman of Comedians in Akwa Ibom, Sir James, Entertainment Journalists, Maria Therese, the innocent fashion/modeling guru whom he also insulted, Mista Xto, the convener, the host- Emmanuel Owualla, and other guests.

Nelson, a student and practicing entertainment journalist/board member of E-101 Magazine wishes to draw the attention of his family, friends, colleagues, The Nigerian Police, the Government of Akwa Ibom state, and all relevant securities agents in the state to what he considers as humiliation, gross misconduct by a public servant or figure, insult to his profession, assault, and concurrent threat to his life by Cyril Umoren.

“Nothing on earth would have brought him in contact with CYX if not for his profession as an entertainment journalist and his relocation to Akwa Ibom, this is not the first time he has had an encounter with him, at first, it was at Daaty Hotel in 2012, secondly at his home town Etinan when they went to honor Rev. Uko on the occasion of his 70^th birthday in January, the height of it all was reached on Thursday, March 28^th when he, CYX raised his hand to slap Nelson at a public gathering of stakeholders of the entertainment industry for not attending his event, or for what he considers as ‘a bad report published about him’ in my magazine, E-101, sometime last year”.

“I am disappointed in everybody who gathered there that day to witness him vomit trash over absence at his just concluded factional inauguration where he expressed his level of immaturity at a gathering that was hosted to foster the unity of the entertainment industry and to pursue a cause, which is the installation of “square pegs in square holes” as the Governor, Chief Dr, Godswill Akpabio promised entertainers”.

“I will not and never am I a part of an association/union or forum that he, CYX or Cyril Umoren belongs to, be it National Association of Akwa Ibom students (NAAKISS), Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio, Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (Akwa Ibom Chapter). I cannot comprehend or condone his attitude problem and threat to the peace of my immediate society, and as such I might be forced to take outright measures for self defense”, Nelson stated.

Although CYX has been quiet over the matter, our reporter gathered that he was seen ranting around the Maitama axis of Uyo on the night of the said incidence.
