Boko Haram faction declares ceasefire after talks with Borno Government

A group led by one Abu Mohamed Abdulazeez, which claims to be a faction of Islamist sect, Boko Haram, has declared a ceasefire, after holding talks with the government of Borno State.

According to reports, the group made this declaration at about 3pm on Monday. It is believed that talks have been on for a while and this decision indicates a compromise might have been reached.
